2009 Nissan 370 Z 'Need for Speed Undercover' Video
We can't remember the last time, if ever, a video game made us really want to check out a car, but we have to see the new Nissan 370Z now. In the Need for Speed: Undercover teaser video it looked neat, but in the official shots a few days later the car looked like it was suffering from bloating and cramps. For some reason, however, the Z in motion -- and with, of course, perfect lighting -- does it for us. The perhaps overly teased front and rear lights make a certain sense now, but the truncated rear end still gives us pause. We're not yet settled on how we feel about it, but we can't wait to see it in person. Here are the latest photos of the 2010 Mercedes E-Class sedan caught during early evening traffic in Germany. The overcast sky provides a little more depth to the photos for a nice view of the overall shape and size of the new generation W212.
The new E-Class was previewed in “shooting brake” configuration at the recent Paris Motor Show as the ConceptFASCINATION. It featured a front end design and interior that is expected to show up in the new E-Class but slightly simplified.
The usual range of engine options is expected, with V6, V8 and Bluetec diesel offerings. Other variants spotted in testing are the wagon, CLK/E-Class coupe and AMG versions. The new E-Class is set to debut in Geneva in 2009.

Official Photos:Honda Element Facelifted for 2009
The very first official photos of the revised 2009 Honda Element unceremoniously hit the web today. Expected to hit U.S.
dealerships this fall, the 2009 Element obtains Honda’s new corporate grille which was first seen in the redesigned Pilot crossover along with larger, wraparound headlamps and a newly styled front bumper.
At the rear-end, the facelifted Element features a new set of tail lamps, a redesigned fifth door with more angular crests and a slightly revised bumper. -Continued
The same styling tweaks have also been applied to the sportier 2009 Element SC that stands out thanks to the mild aero-kit and the body-colored moldings.
We're not aware of any other changes, so until Honda releases official details on the redesigned Element, enjoy the photo gallery below.

2010 Ford Fusion Facelift Revealed
Ford has just released the first picture of the 2010 Fusion, a facelifted version of the current car. While the Fusion we have now is a decent ride, it’s just decent. The refreshed Fusion attempts to rectify the current model’s below-class horsepower, among other improvements:
–The current 2.3 liter 4-cylinder is replaced with a “new” 2.5 liter 4-cylinder with 175 horsepower (the same engine that’s in the Mazda6 4-cylinder), a jump of some 14 ponies. Torque for the 4-cylinder is also up to 172 lb ft now, an increase of 16 lb ft. The 4-cylinder also has variable cam timing, a nice addition.

U.K. Pricing Announced for New Ford Ka
Ford has announced UK pricing for the brand new Ka will start at £7,995, when it goes on sale this January. The new model features four different trim levels and a choice of either a petrol or diesel engine.
The top of the range Ka Zetec starts at £9,495 with the petrol engine, while a 1.3 liter diesel version that makes 75 PS and returns 67.3 mpg is priced from £10,195. Both come equipped with the features from the Style + as well as 15" alloy wheels, front fog lights, theatre dimming interior lights, and upgraded instrumentation.
In the £7,995 Studio level Ka, standard features include electric power steering, an adjustable steering wheel, ABS brakes, body-color bumpers, and a six speaker stereo system with a CD and an AUX input.
Style editions start at £8,495 and include heated body-color door mirrors, body-color door handles, remote/central locking, electric front windows, a 50/50 split rear seat, and driver seat memory. For an additional £500, customers can upgrade to the Style + which adds air conditioning and a heated windscreen. All these models can only be equipped with a 1.2 liter petrol engine which produces 69 PS and returns 55.4 mpg in the combined cycle.

Hola Tuners! El Chevrolet GPiX, posible Chevrolet Viva aunque no ha sido confirmado, se puede ver en vivo y en directo en el Salón internacional del Automovil de San Pablo. Se trata de un Crossover conceptual basado sobre la plataforma del Opel Corsa y enfocado a los mercados en desarrollo. 
Su nombre significa imagen Global y este prototipo es la base de una gran familia conformada por una versión Sedán, una versión Hatchback y una Pick up. Cuenta con un diseño muy estilo Europeo en donde se destacan, las luces diurnas tipo LED, llantas de 17 pulgadas, techo de cristal panorámico y un interior de avanzada.

Hola Tuners! La venta de motores General Motors del Corvette ZR1 por separado, será una realidad el próximo año, seguro que esta noticia la va a recibir más de un tuner con mucha satisfacción.
Según General Motors, esta decisión nace fruto del deseo de proporcionar a todos aquellos aficionados al mundo del tuning, la posibilidad de incrustar este potente corazón V8 de 647 caballos en su coche, aunque hay que decir que el coche tendrá que tener suficiente espacio para alojarlo.
La venta de motores General Motors del Corvette ZR1 se realizará incluyendo un compresor (algo indispensable), el sistema de ignición y un colector de escape. En lo que respecta a otros accesorios como puede ser el depósito del aceite, esto será cosa del tuner.
Todavía se desconoce cuál será el precio de venta, pero al margen de este importante detalle, seguro que más de un preparador ya comienza a barajar la idea de colocar en su coche uno de estos potentes motores. Saludos Tuners!

The Fit's configurable cabin, numerous standard amenities and peppy performance secure its place as one of the top affordable small cars and hatchbacks. With the escalating gas prices, it's also an economical purchase for its good fuel mileage.
Reviewers commend the 2008 Honda Fit's all-around appeal compared to similarly styled and powered subcompacts. Back in 2007, both Motor Trend and Road and Track conducted comparison tests featuring the Fit, Toyota Yaris and Nissan Versa. Both tests concluded the Fit is the standout of those three for its fun-to-drive demeanor on city streets, as well as its utility. Motor Trend calls the Fit "the right choice for the enthusiast who wants a car that handles twisties as well as it does chores, saves gas, and eases your budget." To Road and Track, the Fit is "the most fun to drive" of the three. A four-door hatchback, the 2008 Fit was introduced in the United States just last year in two trims, the base model or Fit Sport.

Truck power and car-like fuel efficiency for 2009 Sierra / Silverado Hybrids

GM has been developing a large-SUV hybrid drive system in cooperation with Chrysler and BMW. Teaming up helps spread development costs across three different automakers, and the resulting Two-Mode hybrid system is already available to Tahoe and Yukon buyers. It's an innovative partial electric drivetrain that allows the huge haulers to consume as little fuel as a mid-sized sedan.
2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid
The technology will soon make the leap from SUV's to pickup trucks. GM has already announced the upcoming availability of the GMC Sierra Hybrid and Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid models, which promise buyers the power of a hefty six-liter engine combined with a hybrid drive system for fuel savings. GM says the new hybrid pickups offer the handsome looks and power owners are used to, while offering a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption.
All-electric driving is possible at speeds under 30 miles per hour courtesy of the Two-Mode hybrid system. The V8 engine helps the Sierra Hybrid along at highway speeds, while employing some fuel-saving technologies of its own. These include Late Intake Valve Closing (LIVC) to help in the emissions department, and Active Fuel Management to de-activate cylinders when appropriate.
The latter feature allows the engine to put cylinders to 'sleep' when not needed- allowing the big V8 to boast smaller-engine fuel consumption in certain situations. Sierra hybrid also gets a specially tuned exhaust system which takes the hybrid powerplant's unique characteristics into consideration.
GM says the Sierra and Silverado Hybrids will allow owners to realize a fuel savings even when the truck is fully loaded or towing a trailer. The hybrid hardware will be sold on crew-cab bodied trucks in two and four wheel drive. A stability control system, trailering package and locking rear axle are standard on hybrid models, and towing capacity is 6,100 lbs.

GM has been developing a large-SUV hybrid drive system in cooperation with Chrysler and BMW. Teaming up helps spread development costs across three different automakers, and the resulting Two-Mode hybrid system is already available to Tahoe and Yukon buyers. It's an innovative partial electric drivetrain that allows the huge haulers to consume as little fuel as a mid-sized sedan.
2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid
The technology will soon make the leap from SUV's to pickup trucks. GM has already announced the upcoming availability of the GMC Sierra Hybrid and Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid models, which promise buyers the power of a hefty six-liter engine combined with a hybrid drive system for fuel savings. GM says the new hybrid pickups offer the handsome looks and power owners are used to, while offering a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption.

Toyota confirms - again - plans to build production plug-in hybrid vehicles
So has Toyota been resting on its Prius?
Not hardly, says Irv Miller, veep of Toyota’s American corporate communications. Says Miller, “Let me be clear about this: We believe strongly in the viability of plug-in hybrids in some applications, and in their use of lithium-ion batteries. We believe so strongly, in fact, that we plan to begin production of PHEVs late next year.”
Toyota has a joint venture (60 per cent owned by Toyota) with electronics giant Panasonic, which will begin production-line assembly of lithium-ion batteries developed entirely in-house.
Toyota, along with Advanced Power and Energy Program at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB), began a test of plug-in hybrids equipped with nickel-metal-hydride (NmH) batteries to accumulate real-word data in late 2007. However, the NmH batteries, even in an oversized battery pack, gave only about seven miles of pure electric operation, and as such was not intended for general distribution.
While conceding that seven miles would be adequate for most weekend trips, Toyota still almost frustratedly cited the advantage of its current hybrid system as being independent of the extension cord.
So as announced by Katsuaki Watanabe, president of Toyota Motor Corp., at last year’s Detroit Auto Show, Toyota will build and deliver what he called "a significant fleet" of plug in hybrids to fleet users in the latter part of 2009.
Toyota will introduce the third generation of Prius at the Detroit auto show in January, and (purposefully?) leaked photos of it have been circulating the web and have been confirmed by Toyota as being accurate. Presumably at that time we’ll know, too, whether that plug-in hybrid will be in the form of a specially-equipped Prius.

Lithium-ion batteries developed in a joint project between Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Continental (who will make the batteries) are used in the 2009 Mercedes-Benz S400 BlueHybrid as well as a BMW 7-Series hybrid concept car, and will be the sole power source for the pure electric Mini E. Of course, General Motors has the much ballyhooed 2010 Chevrolet Volt almost ready for primetime.

Car News- AC Schnitzer X6 Falcon Unveiled
AC Schnitzer present X6 Falcon - a project largely following the styling features seen on the recently-launched new X5 of the same name. The newest predator in its namesake's valley territory, AC Schnitzer are keen to point out the X6 Falcon's parallels to its bird of prey counterpart. Broad wings are however where the name originates, but such characteristics go more than skin deep.
AC Schnitzer Racing Design have given the Falcon an exhaust system to shout about, providing excellent resonance for its equally well-performing range of engines, enhanced by Control Unit. Two diesel units, the 30d and 35d, are enhanced from 235 hp and 286 hp to 272 hp and 310 hp respectively.
Instead of protection to the underbody and 'submarining', a rear diffuser and spoiler has been added, while skirts are now body-coloured so as the body appears more drawn down. We'll avoid calling the alloy wheels the 'legs' of the falcon like AC Schnitzer, but nonetheless it is AC Schnitzer 22-inch alloy wheels Type Vll, available in black or silver, that complement this new look.
Tthe X6 Falcon has been painstakingly 'adapted to its habitat', undergoing numerous laps of Nurburgring testing by engineers, namely to fine tune the set up of the AC Schnitzer springs. The result: traction even at speeds only achievable by a falcon in 'nosedive'. The styling package was designed for 'downforce instead of lift' and includes front and rear skirt, moved fog lamps and a contoured spoiler edge.
"Decorated and equipped in this way, the AC Schnitzer Falcon really has no natural enemies out there."
